A trio of vintage Irish crochet collars. These pretty collars were crocheted in Ireland around the 1940s. Using the finest of cotton yarns, women worked patterns inspired by nature into their handwork. The collars may be sewn in or simply placed around the neckline to bring a fresh dimension to a garment.
Style 1 SOLD
Style 2 is in crisp white cotton, with a larger double flower motif. The front collar falls are square and the outer edge ends in 3 points The neck measurement is 46cm and 12cm to the ends, at back and shoulders.No visible flaws.
Style 3 is a delicate lacy collar in pale ecru cotton. The chainmail pattern suits a lighter garment or fabric and can also be inserted with ribbon to tie in a bow. Good condition with no flaws.
All 3 collars can, of course, be fastened with a suitable button and loop.
These collars are perfect for Zoom meetings with their above-the-keyboard charm. Change a collar on the same top every time!
