The inspiration for this scarf was the many beautiful traditional prints of dark blue on white, such as ceramic tiles or the Toile de Jouy fabric.

Hand-dyed medium length silk scarf, ideal for wearing without tying or with a single knot. Dyed with natural dyes and leaves using botanical print techniques.

I prepared the rose leaves (yes, one by one 🙂 ) including dipping them in a bath of logwood dye, then printed them on the scarf.

The result was a light cream background where the rose leaves printed not only in the dark blue of the dye but also added their own shades of grey and green.It is so beautiful, so classy, and will go well with absolutely any style!
