This piece of artisanal product are handmade by craftsman of Bai ethnic group,Bai is an ethnic minority in China, mainly distributed in Yunnan Province.As early as over 1000 years ago, the ancestors of Bai people have learned the techniques of tie-dyeing.These techniques have been handed down from generation to generation.The Bai tie-dyeing displays an artistic style with strong ethnic flavors.These designs are the epitomes of the long history and unique culture of Bai people.

The representation of these patterns requires a complex process.The process is labor intensive from dye vat preparation, to textile preparation and folding, to the actual dipping and oxidizing process to the final fixation and washing processes.

The dyes are steam set and permanent.

Each piece is precious and unique.
