This 100% cotton gauze scarf is handmade and tie-dyed in the Sahara Desert. It has ends which are traditionally left unfinished. Some have designs woven into the fabric. Some scarves are stiff from the starch that is traditionally used in these. This wears off fairly quickly with wear and the cotton becomes very soft. There may be some instances where you may find some Saharan sand stuck in the starch as they are hung out on lines to dry in the desert sun.
Traditionally worn by Berber and Arab nomads in the Sahara Desert, this scarf is authentic and is sure to draw many compliments.Wash in cold water with mild soap, line dry.
