I wanted to dye a silk scarf in a shade that suggested Spring, joy, and hope. Fresh and light, like new leaves, but also a shade of green that would make you look twice!
I decided on a medium limegreen scarf, where the shade of green is a little acid (or is it dry?) but still soft, as always with natural dyes, and luminous.
Hand-dyed in a bath of old fustic to a bright and deep shade of yellow, and then a weak bath of indigo (this is where it gets tricky as I wanted medium lime green, not dark green 🙂
The beautiful shade is slightly acid and will add a touch of unusual color to either formal outfits or casual jeans!
Hand-rolled hems and the softness, lovely drape and sheen of Pongee 5 silk.
Size: 40cm x 150cm, handwash only.
