Antique Madeira Handkerchief-Applique Embroidery Handkerchief-Ladies Hanky-Hand Rolled Hem-Metal Gremio Tag-Flower and Butterfly

Beautiful vintage large Madiera ladies hand embroidered Handkerchief decorated in a butterfly and flower pattern. The photos do not do justice to this item. Unsure of the age. The fabric is quite sheer, possibly batiste or lawn. Decorated in all the corners. The hem around the main whitework area is worked in a buttonhole stitch and the rest of the hem is hand rolled. Has had a light hand wash. There is what may be a residue mark from a label in the bottom right hand corner. Has some very light and in my opinion barely noticeable storage patches. Measures approx.14.5″ x13.5″
